Colin Kaepernick made a choice of sitting down during the national anthem during the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco Forty Niners game friday night.
This is what Colin said about his decision to sit down “I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color. To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way.”
You know what I have to say to Mr. Kaepernick, stand up during the national anthem, You have soldiers fighting overseas so you can have the freedom to play football for a living. So you saying you’re not taking pride in an Military groups because of what is going on in the world with the treatment of racial minorities.
This is coming after ESPN did a episode talking about youth violence in america. Just because you are in the limelight that you can express your views for the world to see, well maybe you need to think before you speak or act because your actions are going to come with a bigger reaction.
